The Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in “KOTFA” Travel Fair which took place in Seoul city (South Korea) from the 5th till the 8th of June, 2008.

The KOTFA exhibition is one of the largest international travel exhibitions in the Asian - Pacific region. This exhibition annually takes place in COEX exhibition complex in Seoul. KOTFA Co. Ltd and Korea Tourism Association by support of UNWTO and the Ministry of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Korea are the main organizers of presented event.

416 organizations, 2 826 exhibitors from 50 countries of the world participated in exhibition this year. 89 082 people visited the exhibition during 4 days.

The representatives of region departments who work on tourist issues of Almaty, Pavlodar regions, Astana and Almaty cities, also other tourist companies actively participated in exhibition organization.

Over 6000 advertising products about tourism potential of Kazakhstan on Korean and English languages were distributed by Ministry in printed and electronic versions during exhibition.

According the results of the exhibition, Kazakhstan’s exposition was awarded with 2 diplomas: “The best booth operation award” and “The best folklore performance award”.
