The Ministry of Tourism and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in International Tourist Exhibition «KOTFA», Seoul (South Korea), June 7 -10, 2007.
This exhibition is being conducted annually in the exhibition complex COEX, in Seoul city. This year exhibition hosted 405 organizations, which represented national tourist administrations, tourist companies, hotels and airlines from 50 countries of the world. The total exhibition area was 10000 sq.m. The number of visitors during 4 days made 85, 966 people.
Kazakhstan exposition was placed on area 99 sq.m. The stand was designed with the color printing with tourist sights image and Kazakhstan scenery, equipped with informational booths, sound and light apparatus, and also with plasmic screen for Kazakhstan video demonstration.
In the ceremony of inauguration and in press-meeting for officials participated the head of Kazakhstan delegation – Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan K.Satzhanov.
The delegation of Kazakhstan consisted of the representatives of regional tourism departments of Almaty, Mangystau regions, Astana, Almaty cities, private sector, State national natural parks, national airline «Air Astana», and pressmen of Informational agency «Khabar».
In the framework of the exhibition Kazakhstan presented tourist potential and Master-plan of «Kenderly» tourist center construction. The event hosted representatives of more than 30 tourist organizations, state bodies in tourism and trade sphere, and also advertising agencies of Korea. The cultural part of the event was presented by the Kazakhstan artists performance – national Kazakh instrument duet «Inzhu», honored artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan R.Stamgaziev.
As the result of successful presentation of Kazakhstan at exhibition, the Kazakhstan exposition was nominated as «The best tourism publicity award» and «The best booth operation award».
